It may come as a surprise, but Edmonton’s food scene includes some great spots for vegetarians and those seeking to eat plant-based. Little Wolf is an artsy bar and restaurant for small plates and cocktails. They also offer the unique opportunity to try vegan cuisine while benefiting the greater Edmonton community.

The Regular Menu

Little Wolf maintains a small menu of zesty and innovative bites which are veggie-forward and fuse the tastes of different cuisines. Their regular fare features around five vegan dishes at a time. The menu does rotate and change, but meat eaters can expect to find fresh seafood, schnitzel, and sometimes even wagyu beef or lamb dishes. They also feature a very popular vegetarian Japanese curry poutine, which is on the menu permanently. Despite serving some meat dishes, the focus of the restaurant remains highlighting the heartiness and powerful flavours of plant-based food.

Good Vibes Only

With no reservations, no phones and a simple wood-paneled interior, the cozy glow of this place eliminates distractions and allows guests to be in the moment. Reviewers praise the service here, and revise Little Wolf’s self-proclaimed identity from an “independent snack bar”/ “low key restaurant”, to an elevated and extraordinary dining experience.

Your Ticket for Vegan Nite

Little Wolf’s vegan dinners are held on the last Monday of every month, and cost around $50 per person. The price includes three courses of food, with $5 of each ticket donated to the Edmonton Food Bank. For these nights, you’re encouraged to sign up for a time slot on their website ahead of time. You can also choose to be seated in the dining room, on the patio or at the bar.
